Personnel & Equipment

Quality assurance is at the heart of our organization and comprises of qualified personnel and well-equipped laboratories for scrutinizing seed purity, both physical and genetic. Pre and post control tests are undertaken by the Quality Assurance team to verify all quality aspects of imported and locally produced seeds.

Genuine Products

To further ensure quality products are available in the market and to protect the farmers against counterfeits, we have introduced a mobile code system for checking genuineness of seeds sold, this has been achieved through collaboration with regulatory agencies and other stake holders. All seeds produced and distributed by East African Seed Co. Ltd. meet international standards and have International Seed Testing Association(ISTA) certificates on purity, germination and phytosanitary requirements. These quality aspects are further confirmed by local requlatory authorities.
