An early maturing variety suitable for  medium to high altitudes areas 1,500-1,900 m. Matures in 120-180 days and yields about 70-80 bags per ha under good crop husbandry.The cobs are large and have tightly packed flint grains with a good husk cover. Good when roasted. It is resistant  /torerant  to Maize Streak virus and head smut. Recommended for planting in Sugarcane growing belts of Western  Kenya , Kisii, Central and upper parts of Eastern Province.

Late Maturing High altitude variety 145-148 days, It has white Semi-Flint grains. Very High yielding variety 8-10 Tons per Ha (33 -47 bags per Acre). Has a very strong stalk hence good stand ability, Good husk cover preventing rotting. More environmentally stable. Yields Double cobs on stalks.

Tolerant to most common leaf diseases e.g. GLS, MSV and Blights.

It is high yielding and most popular drought resistant variety suitable for altitudes below 1,500 m, Matures in about 105-115 days. The plants are medium height and erect. The earsheads are medium sized, Vertical and very dense. The panicles are compact brown. The grains are ovoid and also brown in colour.

It is higher yielding than serena variety by about 10%. It is drought resistant and suitabe for altutudes below 1500m and matures slightly later than serena. Plants are dwarf, semi- erect with medium sized, vertical and very dense ear heads. The panicles are compact and brown.The grains are void , brown in colour and a bit larger and heavier than Serena.

This is a medium early maturing, and determinate bean variety with a high yield potential and wide adaptability. Recommended for high and medium rainfall areas. Resistant to BCMV (Bean Common Mosaic Virus) and Anthracnose but it is susceptible to Rust and Angular Leaf Spot. Seeds are large, attractive with large red flecks on cream. Cooking quality is good and it matures in 90 days.

This is a late maturing, good yielding and indeterminate bean variety. It is less widely adapted than GLP2. Prolonged cool and damp conditions are rather unsuitable. Recommended for medium rainfall areas only. It is resistant to Angular leaf spot and Anthracnose but susceptible to BCMV and rust. Seeds are medium sized, shiny dark reddish purple. Cooking quality is good and matures in 95 days.   

A dual purpose vaariety, suitable for bothfor grain and foliage production. The leaves are ready for harvest in 45 days whereas the seeds in 75-85 days. The plants are semi-spreading, compact and bushy with slender, heavily branched stems.The leaves are medium , silver green and smoooth, Pods are about  22 cm long and light  green in colour with smoth, creaamy brown seeds are having small eyes.

An early maturing, determinant and high yielding variety. Matures in about 60-65 days. Best suitable in areas of altitude of up to 1600 m and yields reasonably at up to 1800m provided the night temperatures are not low. The plants have medium strong stems and grow about 25-40 cm high. The leaves are medium sized, dark green in colour and

smooth when young. The pods are about 5-8 cm long, tender and hairy when young. The seeds are roundish to oblong, bold and shiny green.
